Testing

RAP has established a vehicle performance testing line which fully complies with the Chinese national standard GB7258. Product tests include: the distribution of axle loads, as well as the braking performance of various axles and wheels. These measures provide a strong guarantee of the superior braking performance of our electric cargo vehicles. Our vehicle lamps are inspected automatically. Additional tests include: the headlights’ high beams, low beams and the sound level of horns. Our workshop provides a unique place in which the entire vehicle can be tested under simulated rain. Strength in the man-made environment can reach up to 0.7Kpa to 1.5Kpa. This ensures our equipment can offer an ideal performance during or after very heavy rains.

Additionally, the vehicle is given a simulated road test. This can help us confirm that the operating status of the entire vehicle is qualified on all typical roads.

In-Line Testing

Vehicle exterior inspection
Preliminary inspection is performed on electric vans in terms of appearance, configuration, function, performance, illumination, signal device, painting, marking, dimension and interior structure. We have established a vehicle performance testing line which fully complies with the Chinese national standard GB7258.

Wheel positioning and correction
We carry out the wheel positioning and correction process to ensure that vehicle drives reliably and safely. In the meantime, we check if the fluid, gas or oil has escaped from any electric van. Other testing items include: chassis bolt torque, lubricant, cleaning fluid, brake fluid, Freon and so forth.

Vehicle speed detection
In order to ensure that vehicle delivers excellent braking performance, we need to check the distribution of axle loads, as well as the braking performance of a diverse range of axles and wheels at a speed of 40km/h.

When the speed displayed ranges from 32.8km/h to 40km/h, we are going to inspect the braking and shaft weight. The vehicle lamps are inspected automatically. Additional tests include: the headlights’ high beams, low beams and the sound level of horns.

Rain testing is necessary to check the sealing performance of the van body and spare parts, as well as the working condition of the electric van under standard rain intensity. The testing process lasts for 10 minutes. Pressure in the rain test chamber is from 0.7Kpa to 1.5Kpa. This can ensure our electric vans offer an ideal performance during or after very heavy rains.

Vehicle Driving Test

The electric van will be tested to drive on a bumpy road, rugged road, stone road, pebble road and many others. We will check if the driving performance of the vehicle is qualified.
